The SUDEM – Sustainable Disaster and Emergency Management Processes Digitization project continues to expand the international visibility of its research results and educational outcomes through scientific publications, conference presentations, and collaboration with the global research community.
Throughout the project, the consortium has presented its achievements at numerous international conferences, workshops, and scientific forums dedicated to disaster and emergency management, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, remote sensing, advanced communication systems, and resilient critical infrastructures. These dissemination activities have strengthened cooperation between universities, research institutes, industry, and public authorities while promoting innovative educational approaches developed within SUDEM.
As the project moves beyond its implementation phase, the consortium remains committed to ensuring the long-term sustainability and impact of its results. Future scientific publications and conference presentations will continue to communicate the project’s advances in digital disaster management, decision-support systems, AI, digital twins, unmanned aerial systems, and other emerging technologies relevant to disaster resilience.
One of the international scientific events where SUDEM-related research is expected to be further presented is the 14th IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Data Acquisition and Advanced Computing Systems: Technology and Applications (IDAACS’2027), which will be held in Athens, Greece, on 22–25 September 2027. The conference covers a wide range of topics closely related to the project’s research areas, including artificial intelligence, intelligent data acquisition, Internet of Things, embedded and distributed systems, critical infrastructure monitoring, cyber-physical systems, advanced communication technologies, and resilient digital solutions.
Researchers working in these and related fields are encouraged to participate in the conference and contribute to the international exchange of ideas and research results.
